DESCRIPTION: Beautiful Vintage ROOTS Cross Body Bag in a unique Rust Red Brown color with darker brown leather trim . This bag was part of the Roots "Village" Tribe Collection. Made from light textured Italian leather, this bag is so soft that it almost feels like suede, accented with sturdy silver toned hardware. Truly, it is probably the most soft leather that I have ever felt! Perfectly organized for daily use. It's a great size, featuring 3 pockets on the front, 2 zipper pockets and 1 turn lock pocket. The main compartment is a zipper top that opens into the fully lined interior that features another zipper cosmetic pocket and 2 slip pockets. The backside of the bag sits flush against the body, making this an incredibly comfortable bag to carry. The brown leather shoulder strap is adjustable and can be worn cross body. The Roots iconic leaf fob is still attached and a rare, small, Roots coin purse is also attached! Such a GREAT find in beautiful colors and wonderfully soft, supple, textured leather that will improve with age and wear!
CONDITION: Excellent Vintage Condition. The leather is extremely soft and supple with an amazing "broken in" feel. There is light scuffing at the bottom of the purse around the corners. It almost blends in with the look of the leather. There is a small pen mark on one of the front pockets, illustrated in the pictures. The interior is free of rips or tears but does have a few pen marks. All of the hardware is functional. The leaf fob has separated into 2 sections, which may have been intentional.
