Antique Lava Cameo Brooch and Drop Earrings.
Exceptioal in every way. Lovely refined deep quality carving to the brooch, there is a small leaf that has been chipped in the garland of flowers that sits to this beautiful lady's head, this is difficult to spot. The earrings are fabulous long and decorative, One of the profiles on the earrings is foreshortened, it's hard to tell if this is a fault of the craftsman, or if the profile has been damaged and then polished. It comes in the original box which is in a used condition, but so nice to find these pieces together. No doubt purchased on the grand tour!

Circa 1880. Not hallmarked, I have tested the metal and it tests as silver in my opinion.
