• Unusual antique majolica tazza or compote made by Villeroy & Boch at Schramberg
• Roughly dates to 1883-1912
• Part of their Gnome series
• Cream & dark green colourway with gilding
• Depicts 2 gnomes drinking out of a stein from a keg
• Marked with the V&B S circle and the code J 701
• Very good antique condition, some wear to the gilding and some rubbing to the corners of the feet
• Some very light marking to the green gnome scene
• A few under-glaze kiln flaws along the rim
• 23.25cms in diameter and 8.5cms tall
