A high quality, plug & play stereo encoder for use with FM broadcast transmitters, it produces a clear stereo audio signal with good channel seperation and is an ideal upgrade to convert your mono transmitter into stereo. Don't be deceived by the compact size, this  encoder makes the most of modern technology & provides excellent performance, the surface mount IC is packed with features including a crystal controlled pilot tone, stereo audio limiter, stereo 15khz low pass filter and pre-emphasis!

 

White & red phono sockets are for the left & right audio inputs and a black phono socket is for the multiplexed (MPX) output to go to your transmitter.

 

Power input is via a screw terminal block for easy connection to an 8 to 20v DC power source, the power input includes reverse polarity protection.

 

The MPX output has an adjustable booster preamp so that the MPX level can be set to match the input requirements of various FM transmitters.

 

The circuit board measures just 60 X 41mm and could easily be installed into existing equipment eg: Mixer. Alternatively the encoder could be used as a standalone device installed into it's own small project box and powered by a suitable regulated power adapter, all found on ebay for a few pounds.
