If you know what you're looking at you already know how hard it is to find a Rogers wood Dynasonic snare for sale, especially one that hasn't weathered a few storms over the last 50 years. This 1969 Silver Glass Glitter wood Dynasonic is in amazing original condition. The only part that didn't survive is the heads. The serial number is #22200, which puts it as a 1969 model, last of the Dayton/Fullerton crossover era wood Dynasonics with white felt tone control. Buddy Rich used to play this same model snare around this time. This one I beleive was a special order without a tone control arm (factory holes were there though) and it seems to have an extra laquered interior which is how Buddy used to have his made. It also was factory made without the usual star washers used at the that time. I haven't seen another like it. I added the correct tone control arm after I purchased it. Rogers also made wood Dynasonic model marching drums and this 15" x 12" tenor drum is serial #22223 and a factory brother to the Dynasonic snare. Rogers only made 2 Dynasonic drums that weren't snares, tenor and even more rare marching bass drums, which were top of the line listed in the original catalogs. If you're looking to make a kit from scratch or wanting to add to yours this tom would make a spectacular additional floor tom. My intention was to RIMS mount this one and leave it un-altered. These drums survived on opposite coasts of North America, the snare in Vancouver and the tom in Massachusettes and were re-united this year!
