I have played guitar for nearly 25 years as a semi professional musician. I
have and run my own studio in London.
I know my stuff and I know good sound, more to the point I recognize BAD sound instantly.
They are unaware that there is another way to set up their equipment that will seriously enhance their present sound.
They sound dull and suffer from not being heard, to suddenly being too loud then back to being inaudible. It is a waste of talent.
I always make a point of telling and
encouraging these musicians what they should try at their next
rehearsal/session with their set up.
If I am with them in the studio and
suggest changes to their setup, they are instantly shocked at how much
difference their sound changes for the better.
There is no trickery here....
This is not a method that I have made up, this is the way that ALL experienced knowledgeable users of effects units should know - and do... It is a crime that quite a few do not.
These settings are found in your
manuals too, but they are not documented in such a way that you will instantly
utilize them.
They absolutely should be... but are not. We are encouraged just to try the different methods..
In truth none of us really read
our manuals in depth either so instantly we miss the details. We plug straight
in and start playing to hear what our new box can do..
BUT there is a
PROPER ESTABLISHED way to set up your Multi Fx with an amplifier.
It's
documented in your manual, but it's right up against the other methods and
while these sound fine
practicing at low volumes they sound less than impressive when you are on a stage or recording with your rig miked.

There is
no need for extra cabling or hardware changes of any sort.
This is simple info regarding your set up of a multi-effects unit – there are no hidden costs or extras.
As I have said it is in your manual and I encourage you to go and re-read it if
you are unsure about your sound, you will find it there.
If you just want to
know straight away (or within 24 hours at least) spend just a couple of quid
and I will send you the Information directly to you.
Once you receive the info you will immediately be able to utilize the method and try it out for your self.
I should
add that this method is not really of any use to people who own a VINTAGE valve
(tube) amplifier.
There are aspects of vintage valve amps that should be
utilized and easily better the sound of any multi-effects unit hands down.
This
is mostly for people with transistor amplifiers – of which there are many.
They
should also have an effects return on the amp as part of this method will
utilize it.
Most of the multi-effects units out there make some effort to
enable the user emulate vintage valve amplifiers
so if you are already lucky
enough to possess a vintage amp this info will not necessarily be a great help for you.
It all depends on the amp, but I will assume that multi-effects units and vintage valve amps are not a usual marriage and as such do not advise this set up for you.
To summarize;
If you own a multi-effects unit and you play through an amplifier at stage volumes, this method of using your unit will ensure that you sound crisp and clear..
That you realize the full potential of both your Fx unit and your amplifier.
It is guaranteed to remove the woolly and muddy sound of a very commonly used set up that is seen time and time again.
If you purchase this info and utilize its method I can guarantee that you too will take pleasure in advising people that you meet to also use this method…
And they too will also be astounded at the sonic benefit and grateful for it.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you purchase you will be more than pleased with the result.
I guarantee it!
