Up for auction is this nice mid 50s Baume & Mercier wristwatch retailed by Cuervo y Sobrinos, jeweler in pre-Castro Havana. 

Rose gold filled stainless steel case with screw caseback is in good condition.  

Measurements: 35 mm. x 10 mm. and 18 mm. between lugs. 

Swiss made hand winding 21 jewels baume & Mercier signed caliber is in good condition, runs strong and keeps good time. Last time of service is unknown. 

Original beige colored dial with applied indexes shows heavy patina due to age. Baume & Mercier´s distinctive star logo is at 12 and the retailers signature at 6. Dial has not been repainted or refinished. Date function works as it should. 

Crown is original to the watch. Seconds hand seems to have been replaced in the past.  

Original acrylic crystal is in good condition. 

Head only, no strap for this watch.
