Book of Art

1847 / 1911

Two magnificent and rare French books. The first is a hand-written manuscript on lined paper, the lines made by hand with near perfect script style writing. The cover is solid with no cracking. Some light edge wear is visible. The title is embossed in gold on the front cover. The book is a dark green leather. Ribbed spine with ornate decoration. Very rare piece of work.

The second is a large volume from 1911 depicting numerous French works of art. The frontispiece has an illustration in full color. Many of the illustrations throughout are full page (see photos). This book is heavy and very solid. Some very minor imperfections but it's a real beauty for the shelf. The pages are a glossier material, high-end production value. Comes with the blue advert attached in the back of the book as well.
