Antique Rare English Walking Cane FluteUp for sale is the antique flute walking cane in bamboo with central six holes to play sideways, dated early 19th century. The flute cane is light yet very strong. The handle is carved in a lion’s head. The neck part displays as a combination of several pieces. The bamboo shaft has totally eleven sections while the ninth lower section has a wooden key and the tenth section is separated by a brass band to lead to an opening for resonance. The cane ends with a 3 ¼ ” long brass and iron-tipped ferrule. The flute can be played though not tuned up.


Measures: about 34 ½” long x 2” wide (lion’s head part); Condition: generally, in very good antique condition, except that some tiny wood pieces are found missing to the neck part and to the opening for resonance, some paint loss and wear on the bamboo shaft, consistent with age and use.
