"The Poultry Book: Comprising the Breeding and Management of Profitable and Ornamental Poultry" by W.B. Tegetmeier, illustrated by Harrison Weir, published by George Routledge and Sons (London) in 1867, 7.5" x 11" hardcover (green leather on boards, red title plate on the spine, raised bands and gilt decoration on the spine, edges of the text block marbled, end papers marbled), 356 pages, illustrated with 15 (of 30 called for) colored plates as well as engravings on wood.
Missing are the frontispiece and the plates on pages 45, 79, 87, 105, 125, 141, 147, 157, 185, 213, 249, 273, 293, 305, and 313 (see the last picture below for a list).
Both covers are detached, and the covers and spine have wear as shown. Contents are in very good condition with clean pages and tight text block. Covers have some scuffing and wear, and the spine is a bit sunned. Not ex-library.

How I Pack: Most books are packed in boxes with appropriate packing material. Thin volumes and ephemera are mailed in envelopes with stiffeners. Records are mailed in industry-standard cardboard mailers. All items are packed to withstand normal abuse during transportation.
