What's special about this auction is that a back-light will be fitted for better visibility of the screen in darker areas also a BiverT modification will be installed to increase the contrast and give every pixel more depth with a completely brand new glass screen will be replaced from the original plastic version, this increases the visibility and compliments the back-light and bivert to get the ultimate solution for the Gameboy, a ProSound socket will be installed to give the Gameboy a richer deeper bass sound.
The ProSound socket will be fitted on the side of the battery case on the Gameboy pocket and underneath the body on the original GameBoy as this is the best suitable place to have these connected due to space.
What is a bivert mod?
Bivert modules are used to increase contrast and the chromaticity of your display. You can currently use a bivert module in a Game Boy DMG or Game Boy Pocket (MGB).
Using a hex inverted, these modules switch the orientation of pixels. What once was dark becomes light and vise versa. Many gamers won't go without this modification as the this is an amazing gaming improvement for the Game Boy DMG and Game Boy Pocket.
What is a backlight mod?
Backlight's are LCD modifications that allow users to illuminate their old Game Boy's reflective LCD's. They consist of a thin square panel with 5 SMD LEDs located on one edge. They are typically rated between 2.2 - 3.0V.
Used with a polarization film, Due to technological differences, backlight's only work with the Game Boy DMG (Original) and the Game Boy Pocket. They use a thin acrylic light guide panel created with special lasers to distribute light from small SMD LEDs, this replaces the old film that relies on sun Ray's reflecting back, so you won't need any sun and play the Gameboy in the dark.
What is a ProSound mod?
A GameBoy has a ProSound modified jack! the added jack will reduce background noise when recording and actually increase volume and give you added bass because it's a line level output, using your headphones will get richer sound and more bass however this will have a lower sound output to the original socket but a lot clearer.
