We have used the ReptiPro 5000 as Leopard Gecko egg and Cherry Head Tortoise
egg incubators for 2 years now and can easily fit over 100 leopard gecko and 50
cherry head redfoot tortoise eggs inside of its spacious interior. We also have many satisfied customers using this as a chicken egg incubator, quail egg incubator, and a pheasant egg incubator. Duck eggs, ostrich eggs, and peacock eggs hatch equally well inside this unit and we have been told by hundreds of customers that their hatch rates are much better than with the styrofoam type incubators and that it was easier to setup as well.
Humidity is held very constant and
provided via a small Tupperware container or dish placed in the bottom filled with water. The
humidity is held so well that we have even incubated eggs without the lid on
the deli cup and still got a 100% hatch rate of fertilized eggs. The ReptiPro
5000 has improved our overall hatch rates by 25%.
