PENTAX KAF Sigma 400mm f/5.6 AF Prime Lens - VGC

Very hard to find Stunning build quality metal bodied 400mm telephoto lens with built in lens hood and tripod mount. from Sigma. This is the non APO version and comes with a built-in lens hood and a tripod collar

This is an Auto Focus Pentax fit lens . It will work in AF on any Pentax Film or Digital SLR  including The MZ Range amd Digital: K100D, K10D, K200D, K20D, Kx, Km, K-7, Kr and K5. On a digital - it will give you the 35mm film equivalent reach of a 600mm telephoto - making it a fantastic wildlife or Sports lens

Will also work as a manual focus lens with auto aperture control (A) on any comparable Pentax KA manual focus film body and as a manual focys lens on older K mount bodies

I have owned this lens for about 5 years and am only selling it because I have recently bought a bigger lens and this one has been unused since!

Condition of the lens:

As can be seen from the photographs, this lens is in very good cosmetic condition. There are no signs of use or abuse, no major scratches, dents or dings to the case.

There are one or two very small flecks of black paint missing  as can be seen if you look very very closely at the photographs

Optically, clear and bright. There are no scratches to front or rear elements, no fungus or element seperation. I can not even see any specs of internal dust. AF is fast and acurate, blades are free from oil and aperture is snappy

I had not noticed until photographing the lens but one of the screws that holds the tripod collar on is missing. This may be in one of my camera bags - I will have a good look and if I find it - will put it back. Otherwise - you may want to get a new screw which should be simple enough. I have to say that the collar is absolutely solid on the body even with one screw missing but I rarely used this lens on a tripod - I found it a perfect weight to hand hold..

Comes complete with oringinal front cap and a Pentax rear cap.
