Due to a work colleague offering me their W123 Mercedes 230E, I'm selling this 1986 Vauxhall (badged Opel) Senator. It's not perfect, but it's fundamentally a good car in all major areas. Would suit an enthusiast with a bit of time to attend to the points below.
Good points:
- Low mileage.
- Smooth, strong engine and gearbox.
- No rattles or clunks from the suspension. Rides and handles beautifully, and feels remarkably solid.
- Bodywork in excellent condition, bar three small points to note below. Sills, underside and suspension turrets are blemish-free.
- Interior is superb, and the seats are very comfortable indeed.
- Tyres and exhaust have plenty of life left in them.
Bad points:
- Three small blemishes on the paintwork.
- I think the nearside rear wheel bearing will need replacing fairly soon.
- Nearside rear electric window inoperable.
- Air conditioning needs re-gas.
- Front passenger central locking has an intermittent fault.
- Needs new radio aerial.
I'd be glad to show you the car, or if you'd like to discuss it please feel free to get in touch. All the best - John.
