We are selling our 1981 Delorean that we started to restore and convert into a Back To The Future Time Machine to make room in our shop for a 1970's muscles car restoration and another Delorean we have been commissioned to build into a Time Machine. The commissioned Delorean must be completed in 30 days to attend a major network filming and sponsored car show. We just don't have the time to work on our own Delorean and no place to store it, so we decided to sell it with a low reserve price. This Delorean with all the uprages and custom movie props can be had for less than $30K
This Delorean is perfect for someone wanting to make their own Time Machine and save a few bucks. This Delorean and the custom fabricated movie parts are being sold "AS IS". The custom made replicated props you see in the photos are parts that "WILL BE" included in this sale and sold "AS IS". The replicated interior props included have not been secured to the car. We placed them in their positions for photo reference only.
Here is a list of what parts are included with this Delorean:
Interior Cab area:
Cargo area Rear Bulkhead floor and vertical plates made of 1/8" thick aluminum ( not mounted or secured to car) - Center Console aluminum plate - Automatic shifter that has been disguised to look like a manual shifter but can easily be put back with the original shifter if you want - 88 speedo that will light up - Dashboard Contactors - Glove Box Plutonium Meters that will light up and has Empty light & beeper - Glove Box Terminal strip and wire harness.
Exterior Engine Bay area:
Engine Bay aluminum deck with hinges and custom cut outs - Reactor Core aluminum base - Real Ammo military box - Orange and Black spiral flexible hose - PVC Orange tube - Stainless Steel tank - PVC box with heat sink - None of these parts are secured to the car. Only the Engine deck by the hinges is secured.
Exterior Leftside Pontoon area:
Three Red Capacitors - One aluminum Cooling Grid with aluminum tubing - Three Black Reactor Pots - All these parts are securely mounted with nuts and bolts plus sealed with RTV silicon
Exterior Rightside Pontonn area:
Two Blue Capacitors with ornage coiled cables mounted on an aluminum plate - Two Atomufflers mounted to a plate - Two RF stainless steel cans mounted to 3/4"nylon blocks - one terminal strip with wire harness and P clips - All these parts are securely mounted with screws, nuts and bolts plus sealed RTV silicon.
Exterior Roof area:
Two Flux Boxes with aluminum plates. These boxes have been securely mounted using stainless steel bolts and the holes have been sealed with a lot of RTV silicon to prevent any leaking to interior.
Exterior Front fenders, right & left side areas:
Two Flux Boxes with aluminum plates. These have been securely mounted to the fenders with nuts and bolts
Two small flux boxes with aluminum plates that are for the rear underside area are included but not mounted.
Upgrades that have been done to the Delorean:
New front callipers and brake pads - Gas tank flushed - New fuel pump - Radiator Flushed - Brakelines & master cyclinder flushed, refilled and bleed - New coolant rubber hoses - Fuel injector cleaned and new sealer rings installed - New Binnacle - Upholstered knee pads - Upholstered headliner not installed - upholstered door panels - upholstered center colsole - New Trunk Struts - New Gullwing door strutrs - New Battery - New stainless steel t-top inner plate and spacer.
This cars engine runs well, the transmission shifts well but the rear wheel calipers will require some TLC. We've tested the electrical gauges and all work, electrical window switches do work - passenger side door and window does operate - the parking brake is good - both seats are good but could use upholstering ( not secured to car) - carpet is faded but good - tires are new - rims are in good shape - Stainless Steel body overall is in great shape and has no dents or scratches but does have a three 1/8" holes on each fenders where we mounted the flux cable harness. This flux cable harness has since been removed - the front fascia was painted and title to the car has no issues.
What needs work on the Delorean: Rear wheel calipers need rebuilt kit - Drives door needs adjusting - drivers window need new track - front suspension should have new rubber bushings - Air condition needs new freon.
We will also include a 10% discount to the purchaser on all of our custom made props purchased through us for this Delorean's conversion.
We will be glad to assit in the pick up transporting of this vehicle with the united states or overseas but we do not cover or incur any cost whats-so-ever.
We have a carrier company we use and we recommend or you can use one of your choosing.

Apparently there is some confusion with which transmission this DeLorean being sold has. This vin #05610 DeLorean has an automatic drive transmission "BUT" I have disguised the gear shifter to "LOOK LIKE" a manual gear shift. I did and offer this with my conversion because I have had many customers that can't operate a manual shift vehicle but they want their DeLorean Time Machine conversion to look like the movie Time Machine witrh the manual shifter. This way, my customers have the look they want and the transmission they can drive.
If the future owner of this fine DeLorean wishes to have the shifter made back to the original automatic shifter we have all the parts and will be happy to make it so.
