Crepe-soled mukluks fit WIDE and are meant to be looser fitting. Insoles can be added for a snugger fit. Vibram-soled mukluks fit closer to a medium width.
The pictures that appear with this listing are generic. Because each pair is handcrafted from natural products, please allow for slight colour variations in material, fur, and lining. BEADING COLOUR AND STYLE MAY ALSO VARY. If you are particular about the pair you will be receiving, ASK before you purchase; we will gladly send you a photo of the actual pair.
Mukluks are NOT waterproof. A silicone-based spray may be used to help protect suede and leather products but should not be used on fur.
Fur is FRAGILE and will normally shed over time. Frequent friction (rubbing the boots together when walking) will cause shedding to occur much faster.
Do not pull hard on pompoms, ties, and straps. It is best to tie your mukluks once in a good knot than to keep retying them.
Manitobah Mukluks are not built on a traditional foot last so there is no left or right foot. The soles will form to your feet with wear.
Crepe soles are made from natural rubber. They are great for indoor wear and light outdoor use but do not hold up well in wet conditions and will break down eventually if worn on pavement.
Vibram soles are a high-performance rubber sole that can withstand the effects of cold and high-abrasion urban environments.
Mukluks tend to fit large; it is generally recommended to size down. Moccasins, on the other hand, tend to fit true-to-size.
