This is a first edition (fourth printing) hardcover book (Houghton Mifflin Company) by the children's author Scott O'Dell. This book has a personalized autograph in it. "To Billie who is four and Bobby who is two and in about five years can go off looking for an island of their own. Scott O'Dell". This book has three small stains on the front and three on the back. There is light yellowing on the pages and a light crayon streak on the front of the book. This book is missing the jacket and has been read. The binding is in great condition.
