(2004/Apple/Toshiba) 90 Titel, Langformat- Schuber mit Aufklapphülle und LP Replicas plus zwei Booklets (inkl. aller Texte). Höchstens auf Börsen stößt man ab und zu mal auf eine der vier US LPs 'Meet The Beatles', 'Second Album', 'Something new' und 'Beatles '65', denn offiziell gab es sie nie auf CD. Bis jetzt: Das famose, mit einem fotoreichen Begleitheft glänzende Boxset 'The Capitol Albums Vol. 1' führt die vier Alben zusammen - und zwar jeweils in der raren Stereo- (bzw. Duophonic-) und der gängigeren Monofassung. Alle CDs stecken im verkleinerten Original-Outfit, alle wurden neu von den US-Masterbänden gezogen und klanglich aufgearbeitet. Das Besondere an den US-Ausgaben: Sie wichen oft stark von den englischen Editionen ab, Tracks wie 'I'll be back' oder 'She's a Woman' konnte man in Liverpool nicht ohne weiteres hören. Nur Deutschland kam - dank der Plattenfirma Electrola - in den Genuss der US-Zusammenstellungen.
