This is a used Hauppauge PVR 150 Analog Video Capture card that fits in a PCI slot in one's computer. I used it to transfer a number of VHS tapes to my computer and then transfer them to DVD. A 2-hour S-VHS tape produces a file of approximately 6 GB in size at the highest setting and I used ULead Movie Factory 3 (included on the WinTV installation disc) to author the file to DVD. Because of the size of the file I had to use DVD-Shrink to reduce it to a size that would fit on a single layer DVD. The capture card is hardware encoding, so one can use his computer for other purposes while the video is being captured. It does not include an FM tuner. I never used it for capturing video from TV but it has that capability. I have included the IR Blaster (never used) as well as the original packaging, manuals, installation CD and cables necessary for hook-up (including a S-VHS cable).
According to both Microsoft and Hauppauge, this card is compatible with Windows 7, though it requires a free download of WinTV v7. (The installation of WinTV v7 requires a valid, previous version of WinTV. The disc included in this listing would serve in that capacity. I have done it. However, I used the card on a Windows XP machine. No problems with Windows XP.) It is also possible that one needs to be using a 32-bit version of Windows 7, though I cannot say for sure. In addition, one would have to download an updated driver and I have seen reports that it requires that you have less than 4 GB of RAM to work with Windows 7.
