Antique Inlaid Wood Sewing Box with Removable Tray and Lock

Here is a great Antique Sewing Box for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. The piece would make a great gift or keep it for yourself!

For your consideration is a Victorian 19th century sewing box. This box is beautiful with great inlay wood case and a removable drawer inside. Very nice wood and graining. Some inlay loss in places. Not sure if the outside of the desk is a mahogany or rosewood. It does have a great luster to it. The back of the top thru the inlay is split from one side to the other.

Beautiful piece of mother of pearl or mica in the diamond design on the top of the case. There is also a piece of this same material around the keyhole on the front of the case. The brass lock is there, no key. Old green felt on the bottom of the sewing box.

The sewing box measures 10" wide, 5-7/8" tall and is 7" wide. Don't miss out on this unique item. The drawer is 10.5" wide and almost the depth of the width of the desk. This gave the user additional storage to hold important papers. It does have a lock (appears to be a replacement), but no key. The new keyhole is above the original keyhole on the front of the box. Returns Policy

Returns are accepted by seller within 14 days of receipt of item by buyer. The Buyer will be assessed a $45 restocking fee should they decide to return this item for whatever the reason..
In accordance with eBay's buyer protection program, the purchase price plus original shipping cost will be refunded to the buyer once the item has been received by the seller, minus the $45 restocking fee noted.
Buyer is responsible for the return shipping cost and any applicable insurance cost.
