How To Apply Headlights Tints?
Prepare all the tools before the job, a Heat Gun (or hair dryer), clean waters, and a razor.
1. Clean Surfaces - Thoroughly clean your lights making sure they are free of dirt, oil, etc.
2. Prepare the vinyl - Using the clean waters wet the outside of the vinyl, then peel it off and spray the back side (adhesive side), water will prevent the overlay's adhesive from sticking while you apply. Now gently set and position the vinyl in the general area on the lights.
3. Squeegee - Wrap a squeegee in a paper towel to prevent scratching the vinyl. Now you will squeegee out the liquid from behind the vinyl. Start in center and work outwards.
4. Heat and stretch - Using the blow dryer on low speed, high heat. Heating up the vinyl. The heat will help the vinyl around complex corners and fall into recesses. Don't worry about the extra vinyl over the edges as you will clean that up later with a razor.
5. Cut off the excess and let dry overnight - Do not wash your car for 48 hours.
