1929 LADISLAV PROKOP violin, made in Prague (Chrudimi). Clear, powerful projection, strong and resonant - reminiscent of the fine Italian violins. Deep bass and wonderful treble - nicely balanced. Flamed one piece back. This violin has surface wear from age including some edge wear.  No cracks. New Dominant strings with Jargar E - strings need to be broken in. This violin is nearly identical to the one we just sold, however the sound is even better.  Auction is for the violin only.

Why Purchase From VegasViolin?

When you purchase from VegasViolin you can be sure of getting a violin that is ready to play and does not need additional and expensive extra setup work on the pegs, fingerboard and soundpost. Expect to pay far below what you would pay at a violin shop for the same kind of instrument.  We began buying older quality violins to enable our daughters to play better quality violins and have the experience of playing many instruments.  We would like to extend this benefit to you.

Note: It is uncommon for bridge or strings to become loose in shipping or for soundpost to fall, but in this unlikely event it is buyer's responsibility to have them reset.
