Here is a great Antique Junghans Tambour Case Mantel Clock for your buying consideration.  Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself!

Beautiful German oak case clock.  The maker is Jungans and the movement has "B42" on it. Clock probably dates to the mid 1920s to 1930s period.  Very unique clock here with the oval shaped face.  Only found one other one like it in the same size on the clock internet sites we utilize for research and it was only a time and strike clock.

The wood case is all there.  Shows some finish loss, still looks good.  Nice styling and design to the mahogany wood case..  The glass in the brass bezel is intact, no cracks or blistering.

The case has wood legs on it that look appropriate to the clock as well.  The rear door is securely attached to the case.  The click latch on the rear door works.

We have only wiped down the wood case with Murphy's wood cleaner and orange oil, could still used a good cleaning to bring the original beauty of this piece out to its' full potential.

Nice looking face on this clock.  Silver colored with black numbering, some finish loss.  The clock hands match and look appropriate to the clock.  Gold trim around the clock face.  The hands to turn the strike on and off work as does the time adjustment component.

Great looking 8 day brass movement on this clock.  The clock has a great beat to it with the pendulum off and on it.  The movement has a chimes on/off switch that operates.

The clock movement has been running, striking, and chiming since we acquired the clock. Just cleaned the pivot points and bushings and oiled them.  Five strike rods and hammers are in good shape.  The three springs feel sound when keyed.  This clock is in running, striking and chiming condition.

The movement has the "Junghans" logo on the back of the movement and "B42" below that. Also has Germany impressed under that.  The pendulum  that came with the clock also looks appropriate to it.    The clock was made circa 1942.  The clock will come with a wind key.

Nice looking silver colored metal face with raised brass numbers.  The beveled glass and brass bezel door over the clock face look great.  The glass is not blistered or cracked.  The bezel is firmly attached to the clock case by its' hinges.  The bezel is made out of some sort of gold colored metal appears to be brass.

The case still has what appear to be the original wood legs on it.   This was definitely a quality clock for its' time.  The rear door is still firmly attached to the case.  The latch for the rear door is still there and operates.  The hinges look appropriate on the front and rear doors.

The clock stands 10.5" tall, by 20.75" across, by 6-5/8" wide.  This is a very heavy clock, so expect the shipping costs to reflect that.  You will not find such a fine example of this clock maker's work available very often, so do not miss this one.  Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.

As can be expected when dealing with a vintage clock, some adjustments may be needed after shipping to get the clock re-running correctly again as they can be very delicate.  If you have not had experience with old mechanical clocks before, I would suggest you steer clear.  One really needs to have the patience, and skill to work with these great works of art.  They are not our modern plug in and go, or change the battery clocks.  Please ask any questions relating to this matter, before you decide to purchase it.

Make sure that this clock meets your needs and requirements before deciding to acquire it.   The item can be returned, there is a 15% restocking fee to do so.  So, please carefully review all the attached pictures, ask all the questions you have, come see in person or send a friend to see the item on your behalf, prior to deciding to acquire it.

Don't be shy to make an offer, we are always open to reasonable suggestions!   You can also pick this clock up in Wilmington, DE should you not want to have the clock shipped to you.  The clock may be partially disassembled to be more safely shipped to you.  So, expect some reassembly.
