This package requires assembly and additional parts. You will need to provide some wire or cable, connectors and other miscellaneous parts to connect the CPU, contactors, batteries and shunt. Other minor parts may be needed. You will need to have electrical skills in handling batteries and wiring DC circuits.

Starlight Solar has many years experience designing and installing RV and off grid battery systems. We began installing LFMP Lithium battery systems in 2013. The benefit of our GBS LFMP battery is enormous.
Advantages
Lead acid batteries must be fully charged and maintained regularly or they will have a very short life. Using our LFMP battery off grid eliminates all maintenance and even gives you the ability to turn off the battery and walk away….for months! When you return, the battery capacity is basically where you left it. No more worry about how to care for the battery while you are away.
Our LFMP battery never needs a full charge. Just dump current into it frm any number of sources and use it. With lead acid, permenant damage may start in just 30 days if you don’t get it full.
Another HUGE advantage is the efficiency of this battery. Our LFMP battery takes 40% less time than any lead battery. If you charge from a generator, it takes far less time to charge our battery saving you fuel. If you use PV solar power, you can use a much smaller system saving cost and space. Our battery always charges in the bulk mode which uses the full power from your charger or PV solar power. Lead acid batteries wast energy by requiring many hours of low current charging.
There is practically no limit to the amount of charge current with our battery, up to 3C. For a 500AH bank that means you could charge with 1500 amps. Lead acid must be charged at low current to avoid damage.
Disadvantages
It is important that the charger you use will work with our battery. You should use a programmable charger that can change to float mode when the battery gets full. Many PV solar controller can do this but older and non-programmable style controllers may not.
Older inverter/chargers may not be programmed to terminate the charge when the battery is full. Some customers simply monitor their charging and manually control the charge source. Most modern inverter/chargers like Magnum Energy or Outback Power can be programmed to charge correctly.
If you don’t pay attention and over-discharge the battery, it will shut down to protect the cells and require you to reset the battery.
You’ll have to take time out to show people your amazing new battery system and explain all the wonderful features.

We make every effort to get your order shipped quickly. Batteries are usually shipped within 3 business days but may be up to 5 days. We ship LFMP batteries by UPS only. Larger orders may go by motor freight.
If there is a problem with your order, you will receive an e-mail to advise you about the situation.
Returns are not accepted due to Dangerous Goods shipping regulations. However, you may return your items at our store in Yuma, AZ upon my written approval. Contact me for more details.
NOTICE: Per United States Department of Transportation and United Nations regulations large Lithium Ion Batteries are classified as Class 9 miscellaneous dangerous goods. As a result there are special shipping requirements and costs associated with our products. Batteries will ship per US DOT Dangerous Goods CFR49 Regulations. Please note that due to these regulations we are unable to ship batteries through the postal service and as a result we are unable to ship batteries to APO and FPO addresses. Unregulated items such as battery chargers can however be shipped to these addresses.
UPS Dangerous goods shipments are limited to 70lbs per package. UPS shipments of lithium ion batteries require special packaging and shipping documents. Multiple boxes may be required for certain shipments depending on the number of batteries being shipped.
