GPS DO PLL Interface kit for Kenwood TS-50, TS-60, TS-450, TS-690, TS-570, TS-850S, TS-870 and TS-950SD series

[This module fits any Kenwood model which can accept the optional TCXO type SO-2]

This is a complete kit that allows the transceivers 20MHz reference oscillator to be locked to an external 10MHz signal that can be derived from a GPSDO or other precision 10MHz reference source.

The small PCB occupies the same position of the optional SO-2 TCXO. No wiring is required, fully connectorized.
The internal 20MHz reference oscillator may be stopped by removing links or jumper switches. Details are shown in the assembly document and can be traced to the relevant Kenwood user manual for each specific rig.
The PCB may also be configured to allow normal operation of the rigs internal 20MHz xtal oscillator if the external 10MHz reference fails or is disconnected.

The photograph shows the small GPS PLL interface board mounted in the SO-2 TCXO location on a TS-850S PLL_UNIT.

(Note:- You are buying a kit that once assembled occupies the physical position of the optional SO-2 TCXO as shown, no other Kenwood parts are included).

The GPSDO PLL interface board is designed to accept a sine-wave input at 10MHz, nominal +10dBm (10mW into 50ohm), and provides a 20MHz reference output for the rigs DDS PLL controller.

The GPSDO PLL Interface PCB is manufactured on a 22mm x 22mm double sided plated through-hole FR4 laminate, comes complete with all parts and full documentation on CD.

The GPSDO PLL PCB is provided with an MCX style connector and comes complete with a MCX plug, a length of RG188/U coax, and a BNC bulkhead socket connector that may be fitted to the transceiver rear panel.

(This cable may be fed out via a rear slot if you do not wish to modify the rear panel of the radio).
