Featured in this auction is a gorgeous cabinet vase or bud vase made by Rookwood Pottery.  The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs.  This piece is almost 6-1/2" tall, 3" wide at the base, and 1-3/4" wide at the rim opening.  The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2111 and the production year XXVIII (1928).  The vase features a beautiful arts-and-crafts design tapering to a narrow neck with a design of entwined bellflowers encircling the neck.  This gorgeous glaze is a matte dusty rose underglaze with a green overspray that has curdled on the vase.  This glaze color combination was one of the most popular that Rookwood produced in the 1920s and into the 1930s.  The vase is very clean both inside and out with some glaze drips and pinholes, and only minor scuffing and interior staining from gentle use.  Check out all 9 photos!  This gorgeous arts-and-crafts vase would look amazing in your favorite display cabinet.  It would also be perfect for any Rookwood or American art pottery collector.  Check out my other pottery listings!
