Up for Auction is a Indian Wars US Army Patern 1872 Kepi Style Infantry Enlisted Man's Forage Cap or Hat.  This is a Navy Blue felt Kepi Style hat with State Militia buttons on each side.  It has a Bullion Ealge Insignia on the front.  Inside the hat still has the original leather sweat band and lining.  Excellent condition sweat band, still pliable.  There are some moth nips on the inside lining and the back of the cap.  Considering it is 140+ years old, this hat is in Amazing Condition and is a true Collector Quality Example.
