White Turquoise Magnesite Gemstone Beads

“White Turquoise” is often used as the trade name for what is actually stabilized magnesite as true white turquoise is rarely mined and is often discolored during the stabilization process.  Magnesite has a hardness and texture similar to turquoise and marble.  Typically white in color, magnesite ranges from yellow to white to grey in its natural form and is usually opaque, often with a web-like pattern or matrix.
