Awarded the GOLD and BRONZE Design Award 2014 for innovation, Iron is the new aggressive proposal dedicated to XC. The stand has strong character lines: bike is a "super racing", as they say in slang. Using a RaceTrim or RS-1 rigid fork rock Shox upside makes it perfect for marathons.

"3D stiffness", they call in Olympia, because thanks to the design of its pipes, it offers optimal stiffness on three main levels: longitudinal, transverse, sagittal plane.

Steering nodes and bottom bracket are important: characterizes them a short piece of fillet, combining the horizontal and diagonal/sella/saddle. Two "fins" that refer to a game aesthetic impact. Note the choice to dislocate the seat tube, which is not perfectly in line with the bottom bracket but slightly advanced toward the steering. This solution increases the space back for passing wheel and recovers precious millimeters riding position, when you raise the seat post (from < span class = notranslate ' > 27.2 </span> among other things, in order not to affect the weight). monocoque frame realized Iron is produced with carbon fibers T1000, M40J and T800s. The basis for its extreme lightness (1050 g in size S) there's the T1000, whose very high tensile strength allows you to use less raw materials, easing the frame without affecting the resistance of the structure.

M40J fiber (at steering in combination with T800s) is peculiar for its high specific modulus, 65% larger than that of the T700, most commonly used. for the bottom bracket, it mainly uses the T800. Iron is also available without a single attack derailleur, Crankset (only SRAM). The 12 mm thru axle, the bottom bracket of Pressfit typeTM 41x92 mm, inner cables to the frame and the opportunity to mount the new XTR electronic, complete the picture.
