This is a modified, vintage manual Helios44M-4 58mm F2.0 lens. Anamorphic flare immitation created, flares inhanced, contrast lowered, blue tint added to flare.
1980's Soviet make, 2016 American renovation.
The mount is M42, "Pentax screw mount"
I can supply an adapter for Canon, Sony E or micro 4/3 as an option.
A wonderful lens for video and video-art, as well as photography, if you are looking for some special look. Strong front or side light will get you strong flares and low contrast, otherwise the lens functions absolutely normally, see sample pictures.
Focus ring rotates about 270 degrees, Aperture from 2.0 to 16, Filter thread 52mm. Focus 0.5m to infinity.
The lens was modified in the following ways:
Aperture mechanism de-clicked.
Flares enhanced.
Blue and purple tint added to flares.
Contrast lowered.
Anamorphic flare immitation element added.
To avoid any misunderstandings - this lens does not squeeze the image, the only "anamorphic" atribute it delivers is the flare streak. It is a regular vintage manual lens with an added effect.
All pictures and footage are actual, taken with Sony Nex (Aps-c sensor), camera, wide open at 2.0
Please note!!! - the anamorphic flare streak is positioned correctly in accordance with the lense's original mount. Adjustable adapter, one that lets you rotate the lens is recommended.
