Antique Molniya Molnija Russia chrome pocket watch 15 jewels leather wrist band Poland runs! This is a nice open face pocket watch encased in a leather wrist band. The writing on the face and inside is in Cyrilic. The letters on the face translate to Molniya. This Russian company opened in 1947 and closed in 2007. The Soviet defense department was its main customer. I am guessing based on other watches I've seen like this that it dates to around 1950.

The leather band is stamped Poland. The watch face measures about 1 6/16th across, but I don't know what that means in terms of its "official" size. Seems to run well when wound. Please email me with questions, thanks.
