The thoughtfully designed A110 Pendant Light from Artek is composed of two simple cylinders and a perforated metal ring that provides direct illumination. The shade also produces a small amount of indirect illumination out of the top of the shade, which creates a soft, ambient light. The metal ring is available in polished brass for a hint of luxury, or in lacquered aluminum for a sleek look that is consistent with the rest of the fixture. Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1952, the pendant’s strong silhouette and bold lines are tied to Aalto’s architectural design experience, and will communicate well with contemporary interiors. The timeless fixture has an enduring presence, and can be used on its own or with other A110 Pendants to create a striking visual.
