Original British 10 inch by 8 inch Front-of-House Still (Lobby Card) for the 1952 Philip Leacock Scottish Mining Drama THE BRAVE DON’T CRY, produced by John Grierson for Group 3 and starring John Gregson, Meg Buchanan, Andrew Keir, Fulton Mackay, Jack Stewart, John Rae, Wendy Noel, Jameson Clark, Archie Duncan, Jean Anderson, Russell Waters, Eric Woodburn, Anne Butchart, Mac Picton, Jock McKay, John Singer, Christopher Page, Kelty MacLeod, Hal Osmond, Guthrie Mason, Howard Connell, Russell Hunter, Sam Kyd and Jim O’Brady.
The film depicts the events of September 1950 at the Knockshinnoch Castle colliery in Scotland, where 129 men were trapped by a landslide. It was shot at Southall Studios. The filmmakers used actors from the Glasgow Citizen's Theatre.
