For your consideration is this beautiful Omega Aqua Terra Quartz with the stunning anthracite/teak dial. This watch is fitted with the well known/respected Omega calibre 1538 which returns around 4 years of power delivery between battery changes and has the very useful GMT jump hand facility.
This Aqua Terra is considered by Omega aficionados as the last of the real luxury Omega Quartz watches. The replacement model was downgraded in several aspects:
1. Simplified printed dial Vs the light capturing deeper sculpted version.
2. Lower spec Calibre 4564 movement Vs 1538 with GMT jump hand.
3. Printed markers Vs stunning polished/brushed applied markers.
4. Printed Omega Ω Vs the applied metallic version.
4. No Lume marker at the 3 o’clock mark.
This full set includes the original Omega inner and outer boxes, user manual, warranty card (stamped and dated August 2009), Pictograms card, Omega card holder, and spare bracelet links. Should fit up to an 8” wrist.
Although we received the watch in excellent condition, it has just been professionally valeted, polished and lightly refinished to bring it back to "as new" condition as possible, it looks absolutely stunning!
The watch is of course 100% genuine all round and runs perfectly in every way. Being the quartz model it has the advantage of outstanding accuracy (about +/- 5 seconds a month), much longer service intervals (and far cheaper) and will keep running for years, even when not worn.
This really is a beautifully finished and solidly built timepiece. In my opinion they’re one of the best Swiss Quartz luxury watches in recent years: You’ve got a screw down crown, double coated sapphire crystal, new generation screw-type bracelet, 150M water resistance, GMT jump hand, metal movement spacer, blue luminova markers, etc.
Due to this these are now becoming quite sought after amongst Omega enthusiasts and are consequently creeping up in value every year.
Geek Bonus: Notice the Omega logo on the crown actually lines up on this watch, VERY rare!
