This is a unique and absolutely stunning photograph.

-- What a Moment in History,

What Personalities --

If you had to pick TWO of the 20th Century's Larger-than-Life Public Figures....

ONE a Politician

and the other

A Movie Star

.... WHO would they be ??

How about

Winston Churchill

and

Charlie Chaplin ??

Here's you chance to obtain a stunning Photograph of these two men TOGETHER,

Sir Winston, his wife, son, and daughter greeting the legendary film star at the front door

of Churchill's longtime home, Chartwell House in Kent.

Obviously, Charlie Chaplin is feeling pretty "chuffed" ( happy ) to be there as Churchill's weekend guest

( read photo caption on the picture's reverse ) ;

And most of Churchill's family is there to welcome him :

Left to Right:

Randolph Churchill, Churchill's only son

Sir Winston Churchill

( Unknown male behind Churchill )

Clementine Churchill, Sir Winston's wife

Sarah Churchill, their second daughter

( A second unknown man )

and Charlie Chaplin.

In January, 1931, Charlie Chaplin had released City Lights,
one of his most lauded artistic accomplishments, and considered
today to be "One of the Greatest Films of All Time.

ONE  MORE  THING :

NOTICE the Churchill Family's BULLDOG

in the picture's lower left corner !!!!

Online reading revealed that the Russians called Churchill "the British Bulldog" because of his unyielding, stubborn tenacity.

Sir Winston Churchill often appeared at political rallies, in fact, with a Bulldog,  to emphasis his capacity for leadership.

For never giving in. For never accepting defeat ;  " We will fight them on the beaches," etc.

Churchill's "bulldog spirit " helped carry the British Nation to Victory in WW2.

A prolific author, Winston Churchill also won the Nobel Prize for Literature in1953.

Photographed on September 19th, 1931

at Chartwell House in Westerham, Kent, the home of Sir Winston Churchill.

Condition: VG to VG minus,

simply because both of the top corner are slightly torn and missing.

However, the PHOTO can STILL be Matted and Framed without cropping off any of the subjects in the picture.

Please See the trimmed version of the photograph, in the listing Scans up above.

Winston Churchill and his wife Clementine purchased the home and estate at Chartwell House in 1922.

Sir Winston resided there until his death in 1965 , and the property is now maintained by The National Trust

.... just as he left it, with his belongings, books, and the numerous paintings Churchill himself painted.
