When you choose The Bat Doc to shave your fast-pitch bat, you can rest assured that it will be done correctly.  All bats are shaved on a Haas TL-2 CNC Automated Lathe!  It’s the ONLY way to KNOW that you have a consistent wall thickness up and down the bat, as well on any given side.

We receive a lot of calls questioning the possibility of shaving certain bats with multi colored end caps.  The answer is YES!! They can still be shaved!  When we shave fast-pitch bats, we re-use the original end cap to retain a stock, untouched look. 

• Demarini Bats with multi-colored caps?  YES, We can shave them and retain the original cap
• Louisville Slugger Xeno and LXT with the multi-colored cap and disc inside?   YES, we can shave and retain the original cap & disc assembly
• Easton Bats with different colored caps?   YES, we can shave them!!
• Almost all other brand composites?  Yes, We can shave those too!!
  

Another common question we receive is about changing the weight of a bat that is too heavy for a player.  Please understand, we shave fast-pitch bats for performance and not for drastic weight savings or bat weight changing.  It is best to get the actual size the player needs and let us do the work from there. 

Demand proof before you send your bat to be worked on!!!  When you purchase from The Bat Doc, we also take a personalized picture of YOUR bat in the lathe with YOUR name in the picture.  We will email that to you soon after the bat is returned.

With purchase of our Fast-pitch Bat Shaving Service, I will shave your bat, re-assemble it, and return it to you using the selected Return Shipping Option. Please be sure to include a note with the bat including your contact info and any information you'd like us to know.

You are responsible for shipping the bat to The Bat Doc to be worked on.  To protect yourself, please ship with insurance and tracking number.  The Bat Doc cannot be responsible for packages lost in the mail.  
Normal turn-around is 2-3 days plus shipping times.  Bats will be returned via USPS Priority Mail or USPS Express Mail with Delivery Confirmation when returning them to you.
