Traditional masterpieces of Persian art family own carpets handmade in Ghum and finished from 100% silk which makes this rug thin and tight as well as extremely well-made and very detailed. The design is the combination of Assarian, which in general included five different numbers of motifs such as Mehrab patterns, European flower patterns, derivative patterns, spiral patterns which make this carpet unique in design and structure.

Never been used since always kept in the safe banks and is passed on from one generation to another until now. The signature weaved into a small part of the carpet border. It is suitable for carpet collection as it can display on the wall like tapestries.

 

The Ghum carpets are the smallest dotted handmade carpets exist and tend to be the most expensive Persian rugs at the moment. Weaving in Ghum region can vary greatly in quality. Common qualities of Ghum rugs range from 500 to 900 KSPI. The silk used for the pile is of excellent quality and trimmed short which often used to accentuate certain designs and motifs.

                                                                                   

Fine quality Ghum rugs are tightly woven and very durable. This is a hand knotted Persian Ghum carpet with a Silk pile woven on to a Silk foundation. This rug is among the finest rugs. Ghum now produces arguably the best silks available, and carpets and rugs of this quality are hard to find. This kind of carpet shows a fine tradition of knotting silk carpets and is one of the best manufactured carpets.
