STUNNING ANTIQUE / EDWARDIAN / VINTAGE CORSET JACKET/COAT.  CHOCOLATE BROWN COLOR, WITH BEAUTIFUL HAND CRAFTED SILVER APPLIQUE ALONG THE COLLAR/LAPELS AND SLEEVE ENDS.  LIGHT WEIGHT TAFFETA TYPE FABRIC, LINED WITH COTTON AND HAND STITCHED/BUILT IN BONING. HOOK & EYE AND FULL BUTTON FRONT. PUFFY TOP SLEEVES. EARLY 1900s/ EDWARDIAN ERA, SO THIS JACKET IS VERY SMALL AND DELICATE, IT WOULD LIKELY BE A COLLECTORS ITEM. THIS IS VERY OLD!! NO LABEL TO INDICATE SIZE. LOVELY MACHINE AND HAND STITCHING THROUGHOUT. PURCHASED FROM A WOMAN WHO INHERITED A TRUNK FULL OF EDWARDIAN ERA TREASURES THAT BELONGED TO HER GRANDMOTHER. ESTIMATED AGE TO BE APPROX 1900. WHAT A RARE PIECE, NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!

30" BUST, 25" PUFFY-TOP SLEEVES, 22" AROUND AT THE WAIST, 20" LENGTH. 

 CONDITION: ANTIQUE CONDITION~NOTABLE ISSUES: A SMALL TEAR ON THE LEFT SLEEVE ELBOW, FABRIC IS DARKENED IN THE AREA AROUND THE LEFT UNDERARM AREA (SEE PHOTOS), FABRIC COVERED BUTTONS ARE WORN (SOME ARE BALD), SOME OF THE APPLIQUE EDGES LIFTING, SOME STIFFENING DUE TO THE AGE OF THE INTERFACING/BONING. THESE ANTIQUE FABRICS CAN BE FRAGILE DO TO THEIR AGE, SO IT WILL HAVE TO BE HANDLED WITH GREAT CARE. *AS WITH ALL ESTATE FINDS, DRY-CLEANING/LAUNDERING  IS RECOMMENDED **SEE ALL PHOTOS LISTED FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS.
