Espumisan contains the active ingredient simethicone - surface-active material that acts on the surface of bubbles and lowers the surface tension resulting in disrupting or breaking the bubbles. Released gas bubbles are absorbed by the intestinal walls and are also eliminated due to the gut motility.

1 mi (25 drops) of the emulsion contains 40 mg dimethicone-silicon dioxide 96:4 (simethicone).
Excipients
Polyethylene glycol 1500 monostearate, glycerol monostearate, sorbate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium cyclamate, saccharin sodium, banana flavour, purified water.

Espumizan L is the cure for bloating and feeling of fullness in the abdomen. Enhanced formation and accumulation of gas in the stomach and intestines as a retail bubble foam leads to unpleasant symptoms such as bloating and feeling of fullness in the abdomen. This is the reason for colic in the infant, which are common complaints encountered in about one third of newborns. Colic begins a few days after birth and continued for about three months. They are located both in infants fed with breast milk and in those fed with formula. Colic usually starts at the same time of day, usually the afternoon and evening, with a sudden, loud, prolonged crying. The child's face reddens, legs constrict the belly and arms - in fists. The child is irritable, agitated, restless.
Espumizan L reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles and breaks retail bubble foam. Those so gases can be absorbed by the intestinal wall and are released naturally.
Espumizan L act in a physical manner, does not alter the chemical reactions and is pharmacologically and physiologically inactive, does not interact with micro organisms and enzymes. Espumizan L does not affect digestion and does not change the acidity in the stomach. Espumizan L is not absorbed and is excreted unchanged.
What cures Espumizan L?
L Espumizan apply:
• all diseases accompanied by increased formation and accumulation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract (flatulence), accompanied by symptoms such as discomfort, bloating, a feeling of heaviness and fullness in the abdomen;
• Colic in the breastfed baby;
• Excessive swallowing of air, as well as intake of certain foods and beverages, leading to flatulence (beans, lentils, cabbage, carbonated drinks);
• for heart complaints as a result of upward movement of the diaphragm due to accumulation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract;
• In preparation for abdominal imaging (x-ray, ultrasound, etc.) in addition to contrast media in double-contrast radiography;
• poisoning with detergents (surfactants)
When you need to apply Espumizan L?
Espumizan L should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to the active ingredient simethicone or any of the excipients.
What interactions occur between L and Espumizan other medicines you are taking?
There are no known interactions with other medicines.
Can be used Espumizan L during pregnancy and lactation?
There is no reason to avoid the use of L Espumizan during pregnancy and lactation.
L Espumizan affect you ability to drive and use machines?
Espumizan L does not change the reaction time and does not affect ability to drive and use machines.
How and how much time should be taken Espumizan L?
When swelling and a feeling of heaviness in the abdomen for colic in the breastfed baby
Infants
1 ml (equivalent to 25 drops) Espumizan L is added to a bottle of milk at each meal or small spoon given to the infant before and after each feeding.
Children between 1 and 6 years
1 ml (equivalent to 25 drops) Espumizan L, 3 to 5 times a day.
Children between 6 and 14 years
1-2 ml (equivalent to 25 to 50 drops) Espumizan L, 3 to 5 times a day.
Adolescents and adults:
2 ml (equivalent to 50 drops) Espumizan L, 3 to 5 times a day.
Espumizan L is taken during or after a meal, and if necessary, before lyagane.Prodalzhitelnostta treatment is determined by the flow of complaints.
If necessary, Espumizan L can be taken continuously.
In preparation for abdominal imaging 2 ml (equivalent to 50 drops) Espumizan L, 3 times daily on the day before the survey, and 2 ml Espumizan L, the morning of the examination, unless your doctor recommends otherwise.
In addition to contrast media in imaging 4 to 8 ml (equivalent to 100 to 200 drops) Espumizan L to 1 liter of contrast media for double contrast radiography.
As an antidote for poisoning with detergents (surfactants poisoning)
The dosage is determined by the severity of the poisoning.
Children
2.5 to 10 ml (65 drops to 1/3 of the bottle contents) Espumizan L
Adults
10 to 20 ml (1/3 to 2/3 of the bottle contents) of L Espumizan
Note: Before use, shake the bottle well in order to L Espumizan dosing, hold the bottle upside down.
Espumizan L contains no sugar and is therefore suitable for diabetics and people with indigestion.
What should I do in case of overdose Espumizan L?
The active ingredient of Espumizan L leads to a breakdown of gas bubbles gastrointestinal tract completely physical way, completely chemically and biologically inactive. Therefore, in practice poisoning can not be ruled out. The administration of large doses of L Espumizan well tolerated with no problems.
