12" x 12" First Rank Mandarin Military Badge  with Stylized Dragon  cut from ceremonial garment and glued to thin cardboard.
Possibly Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) 
Silver and gold gilt thread needlework on thin black silk. Or silk and metallic thread embroidery on plain weave on silk satin. 
Many symbols around Qilin or Chi-lin : Sun, star, lidded jar, thread spool, flower, bug and more.
