Rare and quite sought after timepiece made in by Universal Geneve. The Tri-Compax model was apparently the avant-garde of the industry offering full chronograph complicated with full annual calendar and moon phases. More than that, it was powered by manual winding caliber built entirely in-house. Somehow, Universal Geneve managed to design an outstanding layout of the dial - either elegant and still easy to read. Elegant, collectible, built in-house with cutting edge technologies of that time, the Tri-Compax remains to be a desired watch after all these years.

Case:

• Solid 18k yellow gold 3-body case with snap-on case back. High polished finishing.
• Polished in the past. Showing good geometry. All hallmarks and numbers are clearly visible. Minor traces of use and scratches on the caseback. 
• 34.5 mm (without crown) / 41mm (lug-to-lug) / 19 mm (between lugs)
• Original solid gold crown signed with Universal logo. Original rectangular pushers in outstanding condition.

• Manual-winding 3-reg chronograph with annual calendar and moon phases
• Cal.481 signed "Universal Geneve" and "Seventeen Jewels Unadjusted Swiss"
• 17 jewels, 18000 A/h, 40 hours of power reserve.
• Balance cock may have been replaced in the past.
• Service history is unknown, however, given timegrapher results, it was made no later than 1-1.5 years ago: 290-300 deg amplitude, -6 seconds a day, 0 beat error.

• Professionally refinished dial in outstanding condition. All correct layout, finishing technique, fonts and scales. 
• Signed "Universal Geneve" at 12 o'clock. Signed "Tri-Compax" and "Swiss Made" at 6 o'clock. Raised golden hour markers.
• Original golden hands. Original blue steel chrono hands.
