This wonderful etched and incised King Gambrinus Mettlach beer stein by Villeroy and Boch is signed by H. Schlitt. It is in excellent condition.  The size is 2.2L and it measures 14 3/4" to the top of the the thumb lift. The mold number is 2107.  Both the lid and lower body have a jeweled image, and the thumb lift has a face on it.  The German phrases on the stein translate to "King Gambrinus, even though  the others all tremble, your throne is steady and does not sway."
