Fine Gold Murrle Bennet Brooch / Pendant………….

Oh I do love Murrle Bennett pieces – who could not?

Famous for producing quality pieces for high class jewellers including Liberty’s of London, this Anglo German company imported many beautiful pieces into the UK that were made in Pforzheim on the outskirts of the Black Forrest.

This one is typical of the period and made in thick 15ct buttery yellow gold in a whiplash frame. It is set with a trio of cabochoin turquoise in a trefoil design at the top with the tiniest of seed pearls in the centre. Where the whiplash meets there is a suspended free moving turquoise cabochon that is set in a gold collette. it fastens with a good secure pin and C clasp.

The rear is stamped with the MBC mark and 15ct and it is in perfect condition.

It measures 4cm (just over 1 1/2”)long  x 1.5cm (1”) and weighs 5g
