This gorgeous Smith Corona Sterling typewriter has been lovingly restored and then modified to work as a USB Keyboard for PC, Mac, or even iPad! That's right -- it works as a fully functional computer keyboard! 

 

The modification is very clean, and leaves the typewriter looking, feeling, and working like a regular typewriter. You can use it as your primary computer keyboard, or turn off your monitor altogether and type on paper while saving your work to disk. You can also use it as a convenient keyboard dock for your iPad or other tablet. A beautiful, functional, unique addition to your home office.

 

The USB Typewriter can type all letters, numerals, and punctuation marks. It also includes Shift, Space, Backspace, Ctrl, Alt, Cmd, and Return keys (The "Return" key is literally activated by the typewriter's return carriage!). Many non-standard keys, such as F1-F12, Esc, Arrow Keys, and so on are available with a special "Fn" button located on the control panel. The USB Typewriter can easily be configured to type in any number of languages. 

The Typewriter comes with a small kit that will have some helpful bit's and pieces, along with a guide on how to use the Typewriter. The cable to connect the Typewriter to a USB Port will also be included.
