A beautiful old original oil painting on board depicting a view from the Scarborough Coast looking out to sea, which is signed E K Redmore in the lower LH corner. The condition of the painting is good in line with a painting of this age. It is nicely presented in a wooden frame which too is considered to be in good condition.
The frame measures approx. 47 x 39.5 cm (size of frame aperture approx 29.5 x 22 cm)

Edward King Redmore was a British painter who was born in Circa 1860. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'A Pair: Fishing Boats in a Swell & Fishing Boat and a partially Dismasted Vessel in a Swell' sold at Tennants Auctioneers 'Autumn Catalogue Sale 2008' in 2008 for $6,209. The artist died in 1940.
