PANASONIC RQ-SX71 + ORIGINAL HIGH QUALITY HEADPHONES!! 

Electronics giant Matsushita entered the Walkman market early in the game and released some interesting, high-quality models through the ’80s and beyond the ’90s under the National and Panasonic brands. Sporting some industry firsts this brand moved well up to the 2000s where they released their latest incarnations. They have constantly ranked among the best players in terms of portability, functionality, repair ease and sound quality. Their models tend to be even more compact than most of the Sony Walkmans.

The model I am listing here belongs to the upper class of Panasonic Walkmans sporting an ultra compact all-metal built.

Looks:

Cosmetically this unit is in near mint condition (aside two very small dents on front that are almost imperceptible - see photos). 

There are no marks on the beautifully styled metal body.

Functionality:

I tested it with an original battery pack attached with an AA battery as well as with the rechargeable battery. Both power up. Each control is functional but there seems to be a problem with the belt or the tape mechanism that doesn’t allow it to keep on playing; though you can hear the distinctive humming of the mechanism turning on, engaging and trying to playback.

IN GENERAL THIS IS AN EXCELLENT UNIT FOR COLLECTIONS AND EXHIBIT AND HAS A HIGH PROBABILITY OF BEING SERVICED IF DESIRED TO BRING IT TO FULL LIFE.
