La Guerre des Dieux est sur nous! Poursuivant notre grand scénario à la «What if? » imaginant un cross-over entre les Maitres de l'Univers et les New Gods de chez DC Comics dans les années 80, voici le maléfique Darkseid, seigneur d'Apokolips, réalisé dans le pur style des figurines MOTU vintage! Il dispose d'un corps massif (sur le modèle de celui de Leech) avec une grande quantité de détails ajoutés et bien sûr, une nouvelle sculpture pour la tête, au design inspiré par le roi Jack Kirby! Chaque partie de la tête est moulée séparément puis assemblée. La fonction d'action consiste en deux LED rouges lumineuses pour ses yeux. Un feu infernal y brule lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton dans son dos! Comme accessoire supplémentaire, Darseid est equipé de sa "Hache Omega" moulée en plastique rouge translucide. Tout comme Superman, la figurine est disponible sur carte de style Masters of the Universe vintage, reprenant la charte graphique de ces dernières. Enfin, nous avons aussi laissé courir notre imagination pour créer la couverture du mini-comic inclus. Celui-ci comporte une illustration de ce qu'aurait pu être un film MOTU/Superman, produit par Cannon à la fin des années 80: imaginez une suite au film des Maitres de l’Univers avec Dolph Lundgren, mettant en vedette Christopher Reeve en Superman et Michael Ironside en Darkseid… :-) A propos du "Big Bang Project" de Barbarossa Art : "Le "Big Bang Project" est notre tentative de continuer la gamme originale des Maitres de l'Univers, au travers de créations artistiques (des figurines customs) s'intégrant dans un scénario imaginaire qui aurait pu exister si la série de Mattel avait continué. L'authenticité est notre préoccupation principale. Alors à chaque étape de design et de la fabrication, nous tâchons de garder à l'esprit cette question : "comment cela aurait-il été fait à l'époque?" Nous voulons produire des figurines s'intégrant parfaitement à la gamme originale et créer les personnages que nous aurions voulu avoir étant enfants. C'est à la fois un véritable plaisir artistique et nostalgique que de créer ces figurines et de retrouver les sensations d'antan, celle procurées par la découverte d'un nouveau personnage au magasin de jouet du coin..."

Continuing on our big, "What if?" scenario of a 1980s MOTU/DC New Gods crossover event, the evil Darkseid, lord of Apokolips is realized in true vintage MOTU style! He features a massive body modeled on the vintage Leech buck with a great amount of added sculpted detail, regal gloves hands and of course, a 100% newly sculpted head and face inspired by King Kirby! In fact, each part of the head is cast separately and then assembled with the LEDs for a clean and polished final look. The action feature entails two extremely bright red LED eyes which fire up when you press the button on his back. He wields his mighty, "Omega Axe", cast in translucent red plastic. The figure is available on a vintage-styled MOTU card OR, on a special, extremely-limited Super Powers styled card! The Super Powers version features an exclusive extra cape as an homage to the original Kenner version. Alternate Histories and Multiple Universes: We've also really let our imaginations run wild with this one: the prop Mini Comic features an illustration of what a late 80s MOTU/New Gods film might have looked like: just imagine if there had been a sequel to MOTU and it featured Chris Reeve as Supes and Michael Ironside as Darkseid? However, we've gone further down the rabbit hole of possible worlds: and to that end, we're offering a special variant packaging that asks the question, "What if Mattel had done Super Powers...and what if they'd modeled it after their MOTU figures scale?" Well, wonder no more! In extremely limited quantities, we've crafted a custom Darkseid AND Superman on scaled-up Super Powers style cards with brand new artwork! So let all existence beware, for the twilight of the gods is at hand and alternate realities are bleeding into your own! And when the stardust settles, we will discover who will be not only master of the universe, but of all universes!
