P-SB7 Spirit/Ghost Box ITC Research Device FM/AM Paranormal Equipment

The P-SB7 Spirit Box is a world renowned paranormal research tool based on the idea that spirits can manipulate and imprint energy within the white noise frequencies of radio waves to interact with us and even enter into  real time vocal conversation with us. The P-SB7 Spirit Box by Gary Galka at DAS (USA) was the first commercially available device that has been designed specifically for this purpose. The device is small and light but features a host of advanced ways to manipulate radio frequencies. The unit features a seven step adjustable sweep rate of FM or AM radio waves in both forward or reverse with a noise cancellation circuit to balance the FM & AM volumes. A bright blue back light display clearly shows your setting in use but also has a manual backlight ON/OFF for total blackout conditions. The unit has a small built in speaker which is fine for very intimate work, we do however provide an amplified mini speaker that is ideally designed for this purpose being light weight and powerful enough for group work, it simply attaches to the headphone socket on the side. You can of course also use head phones if you wish to work privately.

The Story behind the DAS (USA) paranormal products

A range of custom designed tools for paranormal research that were born out of the tragic death of a 17 year old girl. Devastated by his daughter's death in a car accident in 2004, Gary Galka and his family started to experience unexplained phenomena at home only days after the tragic accident. Using his electronics expertise Gary began designing devices and techniques to try and enable his daughter to communicate more easily from the other side. The first tool in the range was the Mel-Meter 8704, named after his daughter (Melissa) the year she was born and the year that she passed. Gary and his family believe they now have regular communication with Melissa assisted by these tools and have now made the devices and techniques available to the wider paranormal research community. New devices are being developed on a regular basis to join the range of Mel-Meters, sweep band Spirit Boxes, Rem Pod environmental detectors and many more. Gary’s paranormal research tools are now regarded as some of the best in the field and have become the industry standard for paranormal groups, TV shows and researchers across the globe.

History of the Ghost Box

Long before spirit/ghost boxes were manufactured as dedicated commercially refined devices, people all over the world were experimenting with existing devices and radios to communicate with the other side. Even such historical figures as Thomas Edison was thought to be creating devices for spiritual communication. The modern day version of the spirit box is credited to “Frank Sumption” who’s creatively adapted radio devices are fondly known as the “Frank’s box” One legend says that while attempting to communicate with aliens he heard the voice of his deceased son. Then it became known as the “ghost or spirit box”. Frank sadly passed away a few years ago but his legacy lives on in community of spirit/ghost box enthusiasts who continue to push his innovative ideas onwards and upwards attempting communicating with the other side. Some variation of “Frank's Box” can usually be found in the basic tool kit of the modern ghost hunters or paranormal researchers.

The "ghost or spirit box" is claimed to be an instrumental trans-communication (ITC) device that enables people to speak to the dead.

The unit is designed to continuously sweep AM & FM radio band frequencies where amongst the white noise and broadcast stations we can hear spirit voices. This is basically like twisting an old fashioned radio knob round and round quickly breaking up the frequencies into short fragments of sound. The most common way to interact is to simply ask questions out loud while the device is activated and listen for intelligent answers almost the noise. We find that covering the speaker output with your hand or reducing the volume while asking the question give more structure to what can be a rather noisy experience.

Spirit boxes have many fans and even more cynical critics, so like many paranormal research techniques it is as yet unproven but is nonetheless fascinating to experiment with. I have had occasions where our questioning has resulted in some very foul mouthed responses and intelligent answers to complex questions, these were some of the many things that got me thinking there just might be something to this. How often have you heard cursing and swearing on the radio ? Anyway its open to interpretation as is everything in this field.
