Antique Japanese Edo Tonkotsu (Tobacco Box) with Netsuke and Ojime.
Exceptional and one of a kind Japanese art made of cleverly selected root wood or burl wood that inspired a talented artist to turn it into a mountain landscape inlaid with different materials: a waterfall and a pavilion made of copper ,a bridge over ravine made of coral, a water buffalo-horn, and a person sitting next to bonfire (the person is made of clay and the cattle is made of copper).
A nicely carved double chestnut shaped boxwood netsuke that matches the top of the mountains of the box. The ojime is a multicolored bead.
The size of the box is 2.5"x 3" and the size of the netsuke is 1" x 1.25"
