Americus Kit - Laura Lee Eagles Sold out worldwide Ltd Ed number 1146 of 1640 Born on 21st February 2017 Weight: 3 lbs 4 oz Length: 17 inches (bent legs) This is the first time i have got my hands on a Laura Lee Eagles kit and i am stunned at how beautiful Americus is!  Americus has been painted with many layers of Genesis heat set paints. She has full limbs and a complete female torso. Inside her little vinyl torso is a cloth body that has been carefully weighted with glass beads and padded out with toy stuffing. Her limbs and head have also of course been weighted the same way and fastened with white cable ties. Although she has a torso she must never be submerged in water - this would damage the cloth body.  Americus has ash blonde hand rooted mohair on her head, eyelashes and eyebrows. The hair has been glued on the inside and also a strong bar magnet has been glued behind her mouth. She has lots of little details from milk spots to scratches on her face. Her lips and nails have been sealed & glossed. Her hair can be easily styled with water and a toothbrush, as you can see in the photo's you can style it in different ways. I was fascinated by how amazing and realistic they look and thought it would be a great project to try out.
